| Introduction | I have a writing problem. It consumes every waking moment. When I'm at my full time job (selling advertising), I am irritable and cranky. I'll scribble lines down on a Post-it when no one is looking and stash said note in my purse. This helps with the itch. Barely. With a problem like this, you would think that my friends and family would hold an intervention, but no, they encourage me. It's madness. I worry that I'm not setting a good example for my son. The late nights, the foggy mornings and the way I shut everyone out the second my manuscript is open; this can't be good, can it? I'm pursuing my dream and all the hard work will pay off. Then and only then I might (might) be slightly less crazed. |
