About me

IntroductionHowdy folks! My name is Sean Landsman and I'm the Master's student in charge of Project Noble Beast. At the ripe age of 4-years I caught my first fish - a green sunfish. I guess you could say I was hooked ever since (pun intended). I remain an angler at heart, but have a genuine interest in the biology and ecology of the fish that swim our waters. My research endeavors have taken me north from the mighty Ottawa River (where I am currently) studying muskellunge and south to the Caribbean Sea researching the endangered Nassau grouper. If it swims I'm interested. If it swims and is big, I'm twice as interested. If it swims, is big, AND has teeth... you get the idea. Beyond science and angling I absolutely love anything related to the outdoors. Hiking, kayaking, canoeing, bird watching, camping, even a tasty margarita on a patio. I also have a keen interest in writing, be it science manuscripts, fishing articles, or "translating" scientific papers into layman's terms that the general public can comprehend. Hope you enjoy this blog and if you have any questions (about anything), don't hesitate to drop me an email. Tight lines, Sean
