| Introduction | I've been interested in creating art, which is surely a subjective version of the world as I see it-since a child, and have practiced it my entire life in various forms: Chinese brush painting, representational oil paintings, mural work, silk painting, drawing in ink, and surface textile design. I received a well-rounded classical training at Paier College of Art, Hamden Connecticut, during the early 70's, majoring in illustration.Coming to California in 1978, art as a therapeutic tool for creativity and healing intrigued me; I earned an MA in Art Therapy in 1994. Following an intense career as Art Therapist and instructor/teacher for 15 years at several institutions, I retired in 2009, joined Art Association Napa Valley in 2010; was on the board and served as President for six years. Currently retired from serving, I work in studio #11 at the 100 Coombs Creative Collective building. |
