| Introduction | Hello! I am Teresa Baker of Dolls of Yore but you can call me T. I have loved dolls and "tiny things" for as long as I can remember. As a child I made dolls out of old socks, and doll houses out of cardboard boxes. Creating little people and tiny worlds was magic for me as a child, and still is today. When I first fell in love with antique dolls I fell hard! I couldn't stop looking, reading and researching. While my heart raced at the sight of an old china, bisque or mache dolly, it was the old ragged cloth dolls of long ago that truly stole my heart. There is something about cloth,... so soft and worn... While a bisque or china doll remains unchanged over the years, a cloth doll changes with every touch, every tear, every caress.... until it arrives, a century or so later, at a state of perfection! ...worn and loved. |
