| Introduction | Dr. Scott Pickle was born and raised in Atwater, California. He grew up on a family ranch and attended Atwater public schools. He holds degrees and certifications from Fresno State University, National University, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Doctorate from Grand Canyon University. His career has been in the service of public education. Dr. Pickle, as a published author, has peer-reviewed work on “The Culture of High Expectations and Academic Achievement in California Public High Schools”. He also has two best-selling books: "Impact Mentoring: 200 Ways to Make an Impact as a Mentor and Colleague (2024) and “Upright” (2021) about overcoming a serious struggle with COVID-19. Believing in the impact one person can have on education, Dr. Pickle founded Impact One. The company is driven by a profound belief in the transformative power of individual learning. He recognizes and celebrates the incredible impact that each person can have on their own educational journey and the world around them. An avid reader, guitar player, chess enthusiast, kayaker, and cyclist, Dr. Pickle shares with his family his love of sports, outdoor activities, and music. |
