| Introduction | I'm a fifty-something mom, overweight and somewhat overworked, but consider myself to be truly blessed in more ways than I can count! I love my family with all my heart…I have a fantastic husband, I'm mom to a gorgeous 25-year old daughter and a beautiful 11-year old son, and stepmom to handsome 25- and 21-year old men. God has also given us a sweet daughter-in-law, a wonderful son-in-law, and two precious granddaughters who were born less than 24 hours apart. My husband and I were foster parents for 6 years, with 23 placements during that period of time. We were fortunate enough to be able to adopt KP, who is now 11 and so stinkin' cute it hurts. I'm an Arkansan, by way of Louisiana, and immensely proud of my Southern roots. My friends tell me I can channel Julia Sugarbaker at the drop of a hat. Every day, I navigate life’s many “dangers, toils, and snares” in a runnin' conversation with Jesus. He's never let me down, and I can always count on Him to supply unanticipated blessings. |
