| Introduction | Z is a medical student studying in Singapore. He has been inspired by the blog posts of J, a former medical student. Z hopes that his posts could bring as much joy, laughter and insight to his readers as J's posts did to him. Z is currently competent in English, Chinese (hopefully more so than his classmates given his family background) and no other dialects (something which Z hopes could be rectified soon)! Like all (hopefully) medical students, Z hopes to be able to make a big difference to the lives of his patients in the future and save the world. |
| Favorite movies | Z has maintained, and will always maintain, that the best movie he has ever watched was the Dark Knight. He just found the plot and the hidden meanings in the movie too fascinating. |
| Favorite music | Z has been a fan of classical music for as long as he can remember. Given a choice between One Direction or Gustav Mahler, Z will pick Mr Mahler any time, any day. Recently though, Z has been fascinated and interested in musicals after being exposed to Les Miserables. Having said that, Z does know how to appreciate good pop singers, given that Adele, Taylor Swift and Westlife (are they still singing now?!) occupy 30% of his music collection. |
| Favorite books | Z has always been a big fan of the Harry Potter series. He started reading it after the first movie came out and didn't know how to pronounce Stupefy nor Hermione until the 4th book was released. Z tried this strategy with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, but he fell asleep after the first chapter, so that's that. Nowadays though, Z's favourite books actually come in the form of Time magazines, and thoroughly enjoys the articles by Fareed Zakaria and Joel Stein. |
