| Introduction | Having spent over 33 years as a civil servant (in legal terms, that's at least 2 life sentences!) I "retired" in 2011, in order to concentrate on the wine business I had started in 2003. As of April 2025, I have now also retired from the wine business, in order to spend more time actually enjoying life (rather than working) and to hopefully grow old gracefully. I have been happily married to the lovely Diane (known to my wine friends as 'TLD') since 1985, and we have been blessed with two sons - Alex (1990) and Daniel (1991) - and now a beautiful grandson, Fraser (2019). Here you can read my thoughts and opinions on many things wine-related (and occasionally other things, too). |
