IntroductionROBERT L. JACKSON, born in 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, is a retired educator, social scientist, and transportation research manager. Many of his writings examine the unique African-American experience. His goal is to help bridge the still wide divide between black and white America through forthright conversations about race relations. Robert is the author of two books: "Unchallenged Mind: Growing Up Black, Poor, and Smart in New Jersey: A Memoir" (2012) and "Racism in America: My Personal Stories and Insights" (2013).
