Introduction	Until spring 2011 my wife Maria and myself lived in Naples Florida for half the year and in the UK for the remainder, less of course the time we spent cruising to and from our two homes. After selling-up in Florida it was necessary to start looking at new ways of enjoying our winter months away from the rigors of an English winter! In winter 2011/2012 it was hibernating for three months in Grand Canaria in the Spannish owned Canary Islands. In 2013 a three month voyage on Holland America's 'ms Rotterdam' is planned. We have previously undertaken long voyages with HAL having circumnavigated the world on 'ms Amsterdam's' 2007 Grand World Voyage. This was followed three years later with a circumnavigation of South America, including a memorable visit to Antarctica and a 1000 mile trip up the Amazon on board another HAL ship the 'ms Prinsendam'.
