| Introduction | I AM FROM the oilfields of Alberta, the prairies and the Rocky Mountains. I AM FROM small town. I AM FROM a young mother, dinner at 5 pm, a dad with a tin lunch box and an old Ford with no seat belts. I AM FROM sharing a neighborhood bike and hearing the Beatles for the first time when I was 13. I AM FROM beating the odds of a teenage marriage lasting. I AM FROM making a dollar stretch . I AM FROM cloth diapers, clotheslines, wringer washers and three children before the age of 23. I AM FROM wanting to live in the country and doing so simply. I AM FROM all that is family and loving them unconditionally. We live in the forest in a valley. We live in Canada for 6 months and Yuma Arizona for 6 months. Married umpteen years with three children and 7 grandchildren. We now have a Great Grandchild Jack. We live in a very small carriage house, a cabin, Jim has a man cave and I have my own craft studio. |
