Introduction	I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and grew up in the suburbs of eGoli, the City of Gold. While working in the Consulting industry I met my husband who is originally from Slovakia. In 2008 I left South Africa for Europe and together with my husband, I have made Frankfurt-am-Main my home. We often visit his hometown of Košice on the east side of Slovakia and we both love the beauty and simplicity of Slovakia. As most of my husband's family speak only a little English, I have made it my mission to learn Slovak. In addition to this, my love for Slovakia and its people has prompted me to promote the country. I have found many people know very little about Slovakia and its treasures. And so, this is what my blogs are all about! I hope you will benefit from my learning journey and will learn some Slovenčina along the way on my "Learn Slovak with Stacey" blog. On the other hand, I hope my blog "Simply Slovakia" will encourage you to visit the country and to get to know its people firsthand.
