| Introduction | is a 17hh (173cm) Irish Draft x Thoroughbred gelding. He is 15 years old. I first met him at the riding school where I learning the art of equestrianism (ahem). I bought him in 2004 because I fell in love with his slightly superior, yet 100% genuine, character. He started getting lame intermittently in 2009 after a sponsored ride on the Badminton Estate. What was at first thought to be a chipped pedal bone turned into Navicular, and possible damage to the DDFT. In April 2011, after trying various different shoeing techniques to no avail, I decided to let him try to heal himself by taking his shoes off. |
