| Introduction | I'm the library director at St. Mary's University. My own books include: The Librarian in the University (Scarecrow Press, 1990); A Measured Response (Pecan Grove Press, 1992); From the Periphery (Chile Verde Press, 1993); Deep Thicket and Still Waters (Chile Verde Press, 1995); To Wake Again (Pudding House Press, 2005); Coming to Terms (Plain View Press, 2007);Reflections from Pete's Pond (PGP, 2007). Foreign and Domestic(Turning Point Press, 2009. A new collection of short stories, Into the Thicket, came out from Ink Brush Press in early 2011 and a collection of essays and poems called Big Thicket Elegy was published by PGP in 2011. I've published various articles in library journals and more than a hundred poems, stories and essays in various literary reviews and anthologies.
