| Introduction | Most people call me Kia, although my full name is Mekia. I was born and raised on the island of Hawaii, but I was very fortunate to travel a lot thanks to playing volleyball all over the country. I also studied language, culture, history,food and wine in Rome. I lived in Portland and Seattle before moving back home for good. One thing you may not know about me is I worked on a cruise ship for 9 straight months, starting in Puerto Rico, going around pretty much every island in the Caribbean, to Costa Rica, Panama Canal, Mexico, Canada, California and finally ended up back to Hawaii. So yes, I love to travel. I am getting married in October, teaching full time, coaching, and loving a new house that we just bought! Life changes so fast, I am very blessed to have such a great life. |
