About me

Location Senoia Georgia, United States
Introduction I was born August 4, 2005 with a condition called Atresia Microtia of my left ear. Mommy and daddy knew nothing about it and neither did the doctors. I failed all the infant hearing tests! My right ear has a very small ear canal and it was very hard to test. My left ear doesn't have an ear canal, so they couldn't test my hearing. While in the hospital the doctors took an ultrasound of my kidneys to make sure they were working properly. (Kidneys and ears develop at the same time). My kidneys are perfect! It was a rough few weeks for mommy and daddy! But, they were glad I was a cute, healthy little boy. When I was five weeks old, I had another hearing test and I can hear out of my right ear and I have a working nerve in my "little ear". When I was a year old, my mommy came across the Early Intervention Program for Georgia and met up with two great ladies. They evaluated me and I qualified for speech services until I turn three. This program has been great! They visit with me twice a month to make sure my speech and language continue to develop normally. God made me this way for a reason and my family is determined to help other families that have a child born with my condition.
