| Introduction | I didn't know what it was called. Just that I had changed. Over a period of 7 years I have gone from being an avid consumer to shunning consumption. In my reading, I found this journey is called Voluntary Simplicity. Frugality and Simplicity go together in fun ways like Couponing, Repurposing, Thrift shopping, Flea Marketing. Some of my favorite pieces were retrieved from cast offs set out to the trash. Antiques, if you can imagine those being thrown away. Because I have always loved old things, wondered about their history, the stories a piece could tell, I surround myself with old items throughout my home and enjoy the comfort they bring. I decorate in a Romantic Cottage Style with found items. It's comfortable and serene.
