| Introduction | I head up the most creative and professional publicity firm in the country. I am also lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented authors and publishers in the industry. Formal bio: Since joining Phenix & Phenix nearly five years ago, Rusty Shelton has partnered with numerous publishing houses and best-selling authors to create award-winning literary publicity campaigns. Shelton works to customize publicity campaigns to meet the unique needs of each project and offers guidance about the role media relations will play in the overall promotion efforts for books. As managing director, Shelton leads efforts in new business development, traveling to conferences and conventions and speaking to writer's groups about literary publicity. Shelton holds a B.A. in corporate communication from the University of Texas at Austin and is featured as a faculty member at the annual publishing course offered by Harvard University's Department of Continuing Education. |
