Introduction	In addition to being a Professorial Lecturer on leadership and women in politics at the GSPM, I am also a family law attorney at the Annapolis law firm of Paula J. Peters, P.A., where I have practiced law since 1989. From 1995 through 2006 I served in the Maryland General Assembly: 8 years in the House of Delegates and 4 years in the State Senate. I represented District 18 in Montgomery County, Maryland. During the years 2006 - 2008 I served as the Executive Director of the Women's Leadership Forum at the Democratic National Committee.
Interests	photography; nature hikes; movies; genealogy
Favorite movies	The Wizard of Oz was my favorite movie as a child and still holds that place, though there are many other recent movies that I like.
Favorite music	My favorite music falls within 2 categories: classical and folk.
Favorite books	I enjoy historical novels and mysteries. Most recently I completed "People of the Book" which was superb.
