IntroductionI am currently completing my masters in journalism at the University of Oregon. Although I am not much of an athlete in my life, I am huge golf fan and would only like to spend more time on the course and perfecting my swing. The most memorable moment is still the 1986 US Masters, when Jack Nicklaus came back from 5 shots behind to win by 1 stroke over Tom Kite and Greg Norman followed closely by the Canadian men's hockey gold medal win at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games. I have also been a contributor to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for quite some time since my college days in Washington. Unlike some people, I strongly believe that those at the top of the social economic pyramid have an obligation to both society and humanity to show their support for the arts instead of pursuing a purely materialistic life. After all, our culture and heritage to some degree stem through the arts, whether it be literature, music or the creative arts.
