Introduction	Born in Sweden, I moved to New York City in 1967. My flute making brought me in contact with David Eisner and I joined HMT in its funky old Berkeley Springs WV house in 1978. After a few years there Takoma Park beckoned and ever since I have been a part-time member of the HMT team. My specialties are flutes, reed instruments and drums and other percussion I also repair and re-head drums. In 1988 I started BeatJam, a Friday night drum circle which is still going on (now in Silver Spring). I recently published my first CD "Born on Wind and Fire" (with Nancy Fitzgerald on singing bowl percussion).

Favorite Music	Bach, Beethoven, Cecilia Bartoli, The Beatles, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Trilok Gurtu, Adama Drame, Kahil El'Zabar and The Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, Watazumi Shoshu, Dolly Parton, Hassan Omoumi - the Libra in me loves both the subtle internal rhythms of emptiness dancing and the hot syncopated polyrhythms of African music and jazz.
