| Introduction | After growing up in a mainstream church I was disillusioned about religion. I became very rebellious in my teen years. At the age of 20, I moved to San Diego, CA to find myself. After 8 years of struggling and getting involved in transcendental meditation, trying to find peace; a lady from my workplace started inviting me to Christian concerts. She also invited me to Bible studies. I went to the concerts, but shyed away from the Bible studies. After several invitations to the Bible study, I finally agreed to go to one with the idea in mind I would tell her I tried it, but didn't like it. On the contrary, I tried it and was fascinated by it. The study was on the book of John and when they came to John 3, I heard "you must be born again." It wasn't long after that I recognized I was a sinner and needed to repent and needed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I trusted Him as my Savior in March, 1976. |
