| Introduction | The desire to be a Chaplain for Emergency Services has been strong since 2007. The opportunity came when I responded to a call from a sick neighbor. I met one of the SVRS Medics and took the opportunity to see if there was a need for a Chaplain. The pieces came together quickly; In 1991 I became an RN. In '96 my family moved from NY to VA. My Nursing experience had been in acute care. In '99 I realized that there was still a piece missing in my life. I found out more of who God is and became a Christian. I got involved with kids and teens. My life & marriage improved (and still does). In '03, through a series of devine events, a close friend and I started Calvary Chapel Fluvanna. My teaching, counseling and parish nurse roles formed. My love for the community also grew. In the spring of '09 the privilege to serve as Chaplain for SVRS came about. My wife Vicki (also an RN)and I were married in 1992. We have 5 great children ranging from 5 to 15 y.o.(3 of our kids are adopted). God has begun a good work in me and He will see it through. Philippians 1:6. I wouldn't change a thing. |
