| Introduction | My name is Brad Hatfield. I am an ISA and Kansas Certified Arborist employed by VanBooven Tree Care. Our company is based out of Edwardsville, Kansas but provides consulting and tree care services to the metro Kansas City area. We specialize in fine pruning, preservation and diagnosis/treatment of specific tree problems. The services we provide run the full spectrum of tree care. I also have my own consulting company, Urban Forester Consulting services. This is my private venture, I offer diagnostic services/problem solving and specialize in pruning-training young trees. I have an established reputation for fine-pruning Japanese Maples. As a sidenote, I am doing a series of short articles about my karate teacher, Taika Seiyu Oyata. I trained with him at his headquarters on a weekly basis for 17 years and trained with two of his senior students, Greg Lindquist and Steve Stark. I received a 7th degree scroll from Taika in his family art- Oyata Shin Shu Ho Ryu. Look for more stories and articles on martial arts to follow. Also working on a second book! |
