Introduction The Confessing Cow is dedicated to the philosophical body of Christian existentialism. Derived mostly from the writings of nineteenth-century Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, Christian existentialism seeks to find a balance between holding Faith and existing as a free spirit. As Kierkegaard (whose name literally translates as "churchyard") witnessed physical tasks becoming easier (thanks to industrialization), he wished to make mental tasks, such as thinking about salvation, Self, and sin, harder.
