| Favorite movies | This is Asif Nawaz. He has recently been awarded PhD degree in international relations from Jamia Millia Islamia, a Central University in New Delhi. He was a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for five years at the Centre for West Asian Studies (Middle Eastern Studies), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His PhD thesis is titled as “Evolution of Saudi – Israeli Relations: Implications for Regional Order." Previously, he was awarded an M.Phil. degree on the topic of “The Concept of Social Justice in Islamic and Western Thought: A Comparative Study of Syed Qutb and John Rawls.” His academic background is in Arabic language and Islamic and Quranic studies. His foundational educational journey began in an Islamic madrasa situated in District Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh, India, where he pursued secondary and senior secondary-level studies and earned degrees in Molavi, Alim, and Fazil. He is also involved in the study of labour trends in the Gulf and the migration related issues pertaining to India’s prospective job seekers abroad. In the past few years, a number of his articles have appeared in some English and Urdu newspapers/magazines, like The Companion, Outlook (Online), Maeeshat, Rafeeq Manzil, Hijab Islami, Roznama Rashtriya Sahara and Inquilab Urdu Daily. |
