| Introduction | I completed my undergrad at The College of Saint Rose and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Literacy education. Although I received my BA in Childhood Education, I have a strong background knwoledge base of students with special needs. When I'm not teaching, you can find me listening to music (A sample of some of my favorite artists can be found on here). I also played the violin for 12 years before there was even a string program in my school district. Although I do not currently play, I would LOVE to bring it in and play for my students when I get my own classroom. When I'm not at school, I'm generally with my family or closest friends. |

| Favorite music | Pink,Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, and Idina Menzel are my top favorites of today's music. Theyare all very powerful singers in different ways. However, I mostly listen to music of older generations. I am infatuated with Broadway,Motown and anything classic like: Billy Joel, Elton John,JudyGarland,Linda Ronstadt, Pat Benatar, Melissa Etheridge, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles,Roy Orbison, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash...I could go on and on. Although I like a good beat, I have to be able to put myself into themusic and understand what is being said in order to enjoy it. |
