Introduction	I began blogging about the lectionary passages as part of my belief that understanding the Bible is important for individuals-but even more important for the church to work at that understanding together. I'm not interested in getting into debates on the blog, but simply want to share thoughts and ideas to hear how scriptures are relevant to different people every day.
Interests	Reading, writing, discussions, horseback riding, gardening, swimming, camping, photographing mushrooms, and many other things! Recently I've started trying to market some of my short stories (both children's stories for use in church, and short fiction for magazines).
Favorite Movies	I don't watch a lot, but my favourites are things I can watch with friends.
Favorite Music	Not sure. I like a variety of styles, but when I'm at home alone, I don't put music on. I like silence so I can think and write.
Favorite Books	I love reading fantasy and science fiction for fun, but biographies, historical fiction, and mysteries are great too! I'm rather eclectic in my reads, so won't list particular favourites!

What prevents people from taking their faith education (reading scripture, study, going to Sunday School) seriously?
