| Interests | I live outdoors. I love everything to do with the outdoors from backpacking to snowboarding. I want to hike the big three coastal trails, and visit every National Park. I love camping. I love waking up at four and hiking to the top of a ridge to see the sunrise and taking my boots off after a long day on the trail. I've spent the night in a tent when the temperature was -26 and the wind chill was 56 degrees below zero...and I enjoyed it. I hate socks and ignorance; and the use of the word gay and retard in a derogatory way. I love being intellectual, having deep conversations, reading the newspaper, football, sledding, backpacking over 14ers and through canyons and under arches, meeting new people and learning how I am connected to them, magnificent thunderstorms with lightning and torrential downpours, being barefoot (especially outside) sleeping under the stars in the desert, long drives going nowhere with Cat Stevens, laughing until my side hurts, canoing 60 miles in four days in 30 degree temperatures, watching planes land and getting caught by popos, singing, cooking for people I love, discovering new bands, people watching, laying under the stars, making fires and cuddling next to them on cold winter nights, people who make me think and challenge my beliefs, and living life instead of merely existing. |

| Favorite music | Cat Stevens, Joe Roegness, the Eagles are the best band that has ever existed. I also enjoy A.C. Newman, Album Leaf, Alexi Murdoch, Anberlin, Barenaked Ladies, Beatles, Bravery, Cake, Goo Goo Dolls, Dios Malos, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Eels, Finley Quaye & William Orbit, JEM, Jet, John Denver, Matchbox Twenty, Matt Pond PA, Modest Mouse, Mourning Maxwell, Nada Surf, Patrick Park, Peter Gallagher, Postal Service, Rufus Wainwright, Super Furry Animals. Rockapella is the shit. |
| Favorite books | I just finished reading "Echo Park" by Michael Connelly. A few of my favorite authors include Tim O'Brien, Thoreau, Nevada Barr, Shakespere, and Dan Brown. I love history books on WW II. |
