| Introduction | Welcome to my blog! I have spent my career working on issues of nutrition, and public health. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in biology and nutrition from the University of Nevada, Reno; my Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Hawaii at Manoa; and my Doctorate in Community and International Nutrition from the University of California, Davis. I am currently employed with a health related non-profit organization in Washington DC. My previous professional experiences include faculty positions at the University of Otago in New Zealand and at the University of Maryland; a few years spent with the USDA and other nonprofit organizations. I'm a social justice advocate and I believe strongly that it is a basic human right for all people to have enough healthly food to eat, clean water to drink and access to health care.
