| Introduction | I am a writer. I am an activist. I prefer to look for the good in people. I love people, all sorts of people- with the exception of mean spirited and sarcastic. I am passionate. Especially when it comes to Politics and Food. I am enthralled with American Politics. The Good, the Bad and even the Ugly. I have been since an early age. I remember watching the election between Humphrey and Nixon.. I also watched the entire Watergate hearings in fourth grade all by myself. I was a weird kid.. what can I say except that I was fascinated. I cried at Nixon's resignation speech because I felt his humiliation. Now.. not so much. I love this crazy mixed up and often dysfunctional country! Yes..I still do. I am a full blown foodie but baking is my artistic outlet. My inner "Julia" and "Matisse" can be unleashed when I bake. Pies, especially. They are nostalgic and sweet in every way. I have four amazing daughters. Each wonderfully unique and incredibly beautiful and gifted. My finest creation to date. I was raised in the Chicago and now live in Santa Barbara, Ca. where I can most assuredly say..there is no good Pizza. But where there is the most lovely of natural beauty. |
