| Introduction | "MOMMY!” A word that once made our hearts feel heavy and full of love now drives us to locking ourselves in the bathroom! We live in a museum of toys and laundry, exotic and strange smells, and endless artwork updated daily on the corner of every wall. Admittance may be free, but the operative costs are rising through the roof. Being a mother alone is challenging, and that's not including your roles outside of motherhood. My children were both conceived, unexpectedly, during my college years. My husband and I lived off of less than $20,000 annually with a family of four, plus three pets, and all of this began almost as soon as we said, "I do." We also hold our faith very close to us, and were set on not breaking the Sabbath or our tithes, no matter our financial situation. The past few years have been DIFFICULT, but they are the BEST years of my life! My life is not a perfect fairytale, but I would love to share what has helped us through this wonderfully crazy journey! |
