Introduction | Hello, I’m Amy, a hiker & backpacker, entrepreneur, author, & wilderness survivor. I live in California with my partner Mickey. My son Sam, 20, lives nearby. I adore travel, meeting people, and new experience. My businesses are The Everyday Goddess, a traveling clothing store, and Instant Pool Cards (www.SportPoolCards.com) I’m an author and a motivational speaker. (www.AngelsintheWilderness.com) In 2003 I had a life-altering experience. 140 miles into a magnificent solo trek through remote King’s Canyon National Park. I was working my way down a steep hillside when suddenly the ground crumbled, and I found myself falling, 60 feet, with nothing below but solid rock. Amazingly, I survived the fall, but I had shattered my hip and both legs. I survived for 4 days and nights, alone in the wilderness, dragging my damaged body towards possible rescue. There is a miraculous happy ending. I am, against all odds, alive and well today, and able to hike, & backpack once again. My story is in my book, Angels in the Wilderness. For more of the adventures that continue to fuel my enthusiasm for life, tune in here! |
