| Introduction | My online learning, online designing, online teaching, and research of online environments began over 15 years ago. I have worked in a variety of online environments and design models...asynchronous, synchronous, a classroom of one, a classroom of many. I have used a variety of tools and interfaces- Web-based, Learning Management Systems, Wikis, Blogs, Discussion Boards, Chat/Virtual Classrooms, Synchronous tools, etc. No year has been the same. Every online course experience has brought some challenges, many rewards and benefits, but most of all insights and lessons for teaching in any context. |
