IntroductionI'm married to a great man and a mother of one AMAZING daughter. I live 4 hours too far away from my family and miss them bunches!! Also, I love my career. I am in arts-in-education where I have the opportunity to influence kids through exposing them to the arts... How great is that!?
InterestsCharlie's for breakfast, VSC @ The Wells Theatre, Norfolk Botanical Garden, Northwest River Park, Newport News Park, Road Trips, Camping, Cooking, Dining out, Geocaching, Hiking, Kayaking, Movies, Museums, Galleries, Music, NC BBQ, Performing Arts, Playing Cards, Board Games, Travel, Volunteering, Watching Sports, Wine Tasting, spending time with friends and family.
Favorite moviesWhile I love many different types of books, movies and food it has been such fun narrowing down the list over the years to determine that my favorite book is Swan Song by Robert McCammon, my favorite movie is Auntie Mame (1958) starring Rosalind Russell and my favorite food is Sushi. I don't anticipate these actually remaining #1 so I'll continue to try things and make decisions accordingly.
Favorite musicOne thing I truly love is my music and I'm not done looking for my favorite band or song. Mostly, because I can't remember names very well. I know what I like and sometimes I can remember or pick-out someone but for goodness sake please don't ever expect me to remember information like the band member's names or what band the lead singer used to be in... I don't care enough, it's that simple. Alice in Chains, Boston, Carbon Leaf, Chemical Brothers, Chicago, Coldplay, Colin Hay, Counting Crows, Craig Carothers, Dave Matthews Band, Def Leppard, Diana Krall, Dido, Drive-By Truckers, Finger Eleven Five for Fighting, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, John Prine, Journey, Keb Mo', KT Tunstall, Marc Cohn, Meatloaf, Melissa Etheridge, Metallica, Mika, My Brightest Diamond, Paolo Nutini, PJ Harvey, Semisonic, Smashing Pumpkins, Sneaker Pimps, Spoon, The Cars, The Shins, Tori Amos, Train, Vanderveen, VNV Nation, Voltaire... the list could go on and on...
Favorite books"The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it." ~~Terry Pratchett
