| Introduction | I am an American who has both studied Spanish and lived in Spain (and will again eventually!) working toward a career in translation from Spanish to English. I have a Bachelor's degree in history (specialised in ancient civilisations) with a minor in Spanish. Four years ago I moved to Spain and taught English, and two years ago moved to the UK. It was there where I realised my passion for translating, and began looking in to how do so. I took an online prep course for the CIOL Diploma in Translation, and took the exam this January. I am now back in the States and awaiting my certification results! |
