| Introduction | This blog will primarily discuss things that are of eternal importance. The Bible is the basis of all truth. Its pages are full of treasure. Its writer is the one and true God. To ignore its advice and instruction is to show oneself to be very foolish. To search it with humility for the words of eternal life and to know its writer intimately is to be wise. To build your life on its instruction and wisdom will bring one into the presence of God. My writings in this blog will be reflective of what God is teaching me. It will be seen by some as confronting and critical. I will not criticize for the sake of criticism. My intent is two fold: First, many of us have believed what we have been told because that is what we have been taught. We have never examined the scriptures for ourselves. My challenge is to provoke you to pick up your Bible and see if it really teaches what you believe it to teach. Secondly, just as in New Testament days there are many false beliefs invading churches today. I believe it is healthy to discuss these and evaluate them in the light of scripture to see if they can pass its test. Beliefs do matter. Theology does matter. |
