Introduction Our church ministry was started on April 10, 1870 when Rev. F. Plumb preached his first sermon in the new pioneer village of Milton (later named Malvern). The Malvern Society was soon formed and was called the Silver Creek Class in the Mt. Olive Circuit. Our first church building was on 507 2nd Ave. in Malvern. In 1886 we moved at 201 E. 5th St., in Malvern and built our present church. Since 1870 forty-nine ministers have served our church and community including the current pastor David Kim. We endeavor to build our church up to be a sound Christian community; develop spirituality and leadership for God’s Kingdom Impact; help the members discover their spiritual gifts and participate in the ministry; and make the church healthy and grow in discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and stewardship. Through our ministries we continue to reach out to the needs of the community and beyond.
