About me

GenderMale
LocationSt. Petersburg, Florida, United States
IntroductionMy name is John Feeney and I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts of Irish-Catholic heritage. I studied Religion at Eastern Nazarene College in Boston and Pre-Law/Political Science at the University of South Florida. Have worked professionally in Christian urban missions and am a published free-lance writer of short articles. Politically I am fiercely independent and do not fit neatly into a "liberal" or "conservative" ideological box or category, but rather tend to consider issues one at a time on their own individual merits. I've been very active in the anti-war movement and am a strong advocate for a more compassionate criminal justice system. On matters of theology I would describe my beliefs as those of a very conservative and orthodox Episcopalian, but reject the fundamentalist notions of the evangelical Religious Right. Would describe myself spiritually as something of a romantic and anachronist, one who sometimes thinks he was born in the wrong century. More's the pity!
