Interests Hockey is my Avocation. My goal is to never retire. I feel for the people that have to milk the game to make a living. I respect only those who live the game and make it a way of life with living a side benefit. Hockey is my hobby, it's been a way for me to help people help themselves. When you work in the trenches, live your work, you see first hand all of the developmental problems others are blind to. There is nothing more exhilarating than the feeling of doing good by creating awareness and helping people help their self in hopeless situations: meaning foundation of the person, bottom line qualities, technical skills, tactical levels of play while constructively critiquing and watching them focus in on their assets, manage their liabilities and grow to express themselves. The skill to get out of our self and bring others in to our lives is part of that process. Hobbies are a diversion for something you hate to do. An Avocation turning in to a Vocation is the ground work for a magical career. I've worked with too many in my life whose hobbies are more important than their work and helping others. Living life with a purpose is a great hobby and one I will forever embrace. I guess I feel for people who have the type of job where they have to go out and find a hobby and/or balance. My balances are all of the 8 x 10 pictures on the wall of success stories in life. This is an internal wealth that I can take with me. Every one of those pictures was an emotional journey of some kind; a story to tell for generations. There is nothing like a life with high drama that mixes suffering and triumph. It brings out the best in you and allows you to stay true to who you are and what you represent. Change brings on a mixture of excitement and relief.
