| Introduction | On April 25th 2006, a day that will live in infirmary, I was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. The world accelerated, leaving me behind. I put an email together, called esophagossip, to help me catch up and to let friends and family know what was going on. The email was very popular and so I sent another a few days later. I'm concerned that some people are not going to want the level of detail though so I've decided to document the battle with "The Beast" in a blog. My lovely wife of 37 years, Kathy, is in the fight with me which makes the outcome a foregone conclusion - victory. |
