| Introduction | About Me: Born and bred in Nottingham, on leaving school in 1979 I joined Royal Navy, served 8 years as an Able Seaman/ Gunner. Then worked as a firefighter in Notts Fire Service until retirement in 2014. I Then spent 6 years based in Arras France; walking and cycling the old battlefields of WW1. I Joined many local groups to enhance my knowledge and understanding of the area both above and below ground. Married with 3 kids and a grandson Speciality: WW1 and Soldier research, including Graffiti photography on the western front. Interests: History, Sport(mainly running and cycling), Books, Football, Walking, Gardening. Enjoying precious time with my family. |
