| Introduction | By the varied fortunes of life, I'm an English teacher and, this is the exciting bit, a teacher-trainer. Not that this sums up who I am entirely, of course. No, there's more to me than my work. In fact, just recently someone called me charming and astute. And this was outside the context of language teaching.
