Introduction	We are a thriving chess club, based at the Ivanhoe Social Club in the heart of the market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire. We are affiliated to the Leicestershire & Rutland Chess Association and the English Chess Federation. We run 5 teams in the Leicestershire League between October and May, and 3 teams over the summer in the Harrod Cup. We also organise various internal competitions, as well as just social chess. New members, of whatever ability, are always given a warm welcome.
