| Introduction | A few months ago I started writing after my friend suggssted I blogged. Although I had quite a number of pieces written, I had not found the forum to create my blog. I was also a bit skeptical about exposing myself to the public in this manner. My name is Rone Alexis. I have been an educator for over sixteen years. As a novice teacher, I did not know much about inclusive education but my passion for building students brought me to the right people and places where I was empowered in this regard. I am currently an advocate for people with disabilities with a goal to help change the mindsets of teachers and other individuals towards an inclusive approach to teaching and life. Note that references were not included because I wrote from my heart, experiences and knowledge. I did not use any particular document as I wrote each blog...I wrote from what I have learnt.. |
