About me

Industry Consulting
Occupation Cat Behaviorist
Location Nashville, Tennessee, United States
Introduction A year ago, I ventured into the blogger world with The Cat Odyssey (http://CatOdyssey.blogspot.com), which documented my nine month journey to understand cats and the people who love them. I traveled all over the United States and met so many amazing people--and cats! That journey changed my life profoundly. My interest in rehabiliting cats evolved into an interest in how animals from the broader animal kingdom (including cats, but not limited to them) can help rehabilitate people. Part of this new adventure has included returning to formal schooling. I am pursuing a Master's Degree (and then hopefully a PhD) in Psychology. My focus is on Animal Assisted Therapies, but as I did during the Cat Odyssey, I will continue to do hands on research, exploring the work that is happening all over the country (and the world!) Then sharing my findings with you. Please join me during this new chapter of my life... P.S. For my friends who have known me as Diana Partington, I am reverting to my maiden name when my divorce is finalized in January. Henceforth, I will refer to myself as Diana Korten.
