| Introduction | Josh Magill is a freelance writer and reporter. He was born in the iconic "alien town" of Roswell, New Mexico in 1975. At the age of 10, his family moved to the rural southern town of Rome, Georgia where his father, a law enforcement officer, took a job. Magill attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where he was a columnist for the university newspaper – the Daily Egyptian. He also worked for SIUC Media Services, which handles all media relations for the university athletic teams, the athletic website, as well as all media guides and game programs. As a freelance writer, he has been published in various newspapers including the Chicago-Sun Times, Southern Illinoisan, and Dallas Morning News. He is often published in The Mountain News, an online publication based in western Washington. In addition to freelance reporting, Magill works full time as the Retail Operations Manager in charge of the western United States for Crossmark, a leading company in the retail service industry. Josh and his wife, Angela, have lived in Frederickson with their three children since 2009. |
