Introduction Simply Christian, in my youth I attended a main-line Christian "denomination," which many of us have, but when I took it upon myself to earnestly study the word of God, many of the core denominational teachings did not align with the authority of God's word. Simply a Christian, placing the authority of the written word ahead of the perceived authority of "man" and his many "churches" makes sense to me. Did God really authorize so many creeds, beliefs, and "doctrines"? Nothing in Gods word supports that conclusion. However, All scripture MUST be read and understood within the context of that which it is written. The word of God is meant to be understood, and "taught". This is a life long study in which I invite you to participate... you may be challenged to support the ideas you "grew-up" with, if it's not supported by scripture "rightly divided" and studied "in-context", I would encourage you to let the scriptures themselves guide you, not the teachings (potential denominational error and traditions) of "man"... but the "authority" of God's Word.
