Introduction	My name is Sarah Nivens and I am a first grade teacher. I have had a variety of experiences in the classroom. I have taught 3rd grade and then spent months teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 8th grade social studies. I truly love teaching and am excited to be adding 1st grade to my experience! I have a bachelor's degree in communication with a dual major in theater. I spent 2 years working in NYC in the entertainment industry which I do miss now and then. I then went to graduate school at the University of Buffalo and got my M.Ed in Education. I am married to Scott Nivens and I have 2 daughters, Destiny and Bella. They are my pride and joy! We also have a dog named Shelby.
