| Introduction | I'm an opinionated English Major/Photo Minor student at Salem University. I studied theatre half my life, and sometimes people call me hipster. I'm a spoken word artist in Salem, and a lead singer of a band called Gone the Morning After. I'm a tourguide, a bra specialist, and a photographer at a car dealership. I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Norton, Massachusetts. In the past year, I've lived in nine different places, so I can never really say where I actually live, because there's really no point. My favorite things in this world are: polar bears, kharma, irony, roller coasters, long and freakishly witty tete-a-tetes, cheesecake, avocados, Adam West's voice, my grandmother, and Betty White. I talk like I'm in Dawson's Creek and I act like I'm four because my worst fear is old age. I'm a former sandwich artist, factory worker, ice cream truck driver with too many stories and not enough experience. At the end of the day, I'm a nice person. It's just those initial 23 hours I parade around like an egotistical bitch. |
| Interests | Martin Scorsese, singing, screaming, piano playing, acting, writing and performing poetry, sequestering myself and others, befriending unkind people for their witty words, being fickle, expanding my vocabulary, thrift store shopping, attempting to learn a new language, imagining myself in a Jack Vettriano painting, trying to find the good in strangers, throwing out sarcastic one liners, starting things I can't finish, being terribly honest, complaining about things I can change and ignoring the things I can't, making plans that I'll never follow through with, underestimating myself, overestimating others, waiting and wishing, preponderating my presence in others' lives, photography, discovering new music, putting off the most important things, giving advice, viewing art, letting people I love slip right past me, watching The Golden Girls and quoting every episode word for word, imagining, researching offbeat facts that no one will ever need to know, listening to Adam West talk, reading Fitzgerald, Klosterman, and Merriam Webster, hiding my secret fear of growing older, doing impressions of celebrities, scribbling, debating with a multitude of puns, thrashing to classical music, leading people on, getting depressed when I don't have a stressful amount of things to do, kicking ass at Scene It, holding onto the past like it's a present, holding onto personified objects because they might mean something to me at one point, running away from everything, thrusting my opinion out there like it matters, being extremely obvious, painting a pretty picture of everyone I meet, and somehow insisting that throughout this pandemonium: everything's going to be okay. |
